You can use your home/office computer connected to the Internet to access INFO*LYNX, the online catalog for Central Dakota Library Network. This network includes the following libraries: Beulah Public Library, Beulah Public Schools, Bismarck Public Library, Burleigh County Bookmobile, Garrison Public Library, Hazen Public Library, Morton Mandan Public Library, McLean-Mercer Regional Library, New Salem Schools, St. Mary's Central High School Library, Stanton Public Library, Theodore Jamerson Elementary Library, United Tribes Technical College Library, Underwood Public Library, and University of Mary Welder Library.
To use this connection you need a computer with an Internet connection and a current browser application like Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla or Opera.
The INFO*LYNX online card catalog allows users to search area libraries, review a patron record, and place requests. To complete any of these functions, users will need the barcode number on their library cards and their PIN numbers. The PIN number is usually set as the last four digits of the home phone number. If this doesn't work, call the library for assistance.
Once in the INFO*LYNX web site, look for the tabs at the top of the screen that provide links to Electronic Resources such as the Ebsco database online full-text magazine and Proquest newspaper indexes, Online Dakota Information Network (ODIN) used by the ND State Library, the Government Printing Office (GPO), and America's Job Bank with Job Service. A link to the Community Resources module wrap up the tabular selections.
Some of these resources require a barcode and password. This is not the same as your personal library card barcode. To use these resources, contact the library to request access. A barcode and password will be provided for you.
