Our Mission
"The Morton Mandan Public Library leads in the development of community partnerships and resources dedicated to the provisions of coordinated, quality regional library services for the community. The Morton Mandan Public Library commits itself to provide resources for the ongoing educational needs and cultural enhancement of the community."
Rooms
The library has two meeting rooms that are available for community use. The Starion Community Room amenities include:
capacity for 15 people with tables, 30 -35 theater style seating 4 movable tables, sink and countertop space, coffee pot, pop machines are available in the hallway; 46' plasma TV screen, satellite, and VCR/DVD player, and a loptop computer is available for PowerPoint presentations. The small meeting room is available for parties of 6 - 8 people. Contact the library to make reservations.
Cards:
Library cards are available without charge to residents of Mandan and Morton County, Bismarck and Burleigh County, and any other communities that are part of the Infolynx Library System. A drivers license or other offical form of ID showing a current mailing address must be presented to obtain a library card.
You may check out up to 25 items with your MMPL card, which includes up to 5 videos, audios or DVDs checked out at any time. However, you may be limited on certain types of library materials when you use your MPL card at other INFO*LYNX libraries.
Loans:
Books: 30 days
High demand items: 2 weeks
Special Reference: 3 days
Videos, DVDs, and Magazines: 1 week
Items checked out on bookmobile: 35 days
Renewals:
Items usually renew for two weeks. If you need them longer, let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you. You may renew in person, online using your PIN, or calling the toll-free number.
Other:
Email and Internet access 1hour/day free
Computers and typewriter for word processing
Computer printers: 20 cents black ink; 50 cents color laser
Photocopier: 20 cents per page
FAX send and receive service $1 per page
